Being Václav

Need a speaker?

Public speaking is part of everything I do.

Ever since high school I have enjoyed standing in front of people with something to say: talks, trainings and presentations to audiences of up to 350, in Czech and English. I keep learning, and I love sharing it. If your team or event needs a talk or a practical workshop, just ask.

What do I talk about?

Four topics

  1. Are you a good boss (to your team and to yourself)?

The unconference session from Bansko Nomad Fest 2026: what a good boss actually does on a Tuesday, and why the second half of the question is the harder one.

  2. Pizza Fridays won’t save your culture

Happiness Management as strategy, not perks: what an ethnographic study inside IT companies found, and what managers who listen do differently.

  3. Your team still runs on biological hardware

AI scales speed and processes overnight. Human cognitive capacity does not. Why wellbeing and AI strategy have to go hand in hand.

  4. What a digital nomad actually is

Why it is never too late to start learning English, and what ten weeks in Japan taught a guy from Nová Paka about work, hospitality and time. First given at Nagasaki Canvas, 2025.

In what shape?

A talk, a workshop, or the whole evening

A talk
Twenty to forty-five minutes, with a story in it and a question to take home.
A practical workshop
Half a day with your team on one thing: an event, a meeting, a presentation, a new team.
Hosting
An evening programme, a panel, an unconference. At Bansko Nomad Fest I ran the evening programme in the festival park for a week, from the welcome to the last act of every night.

Talks and workshops are quoted per event · community events and nomad programmes on skill-share terms, ask
